Since November 2021, Éric Baradat has served as Deputy Global News Director, overseeing Photography, Infographics, Documentation, and Data. He is responsible for the strategic management of these functions globally and acts as the operational point of contact for services based in Paris. Previously, Baradat was the Chief Photo Editor for North America. He has also held positions as Deputy Photo Editor at the Central Editorial Office, Regional Photo Manager for Asia, Chief Photo Editor for Europe and Africa, and Deputy at the Paris Photo Desk, where he began his career at AFP in 1997.
