Brendan Quinn is Managing Director of the International Press Telecommunications Council (IPTC), a London-based industry standards body that brings together publishers, broadcasters, vendors and associations across the news and media industries. Alongside creating and promoting standards such as the IPTC Photo Metadata Standard, Video Metadata Hub, NewsML-G2, RightsML and ninjs (News in JSON) and running member conferences twice a year, the IPTC has initiated the Verified News Publishers List project to help news and media organisations use C2PA to ensure provenance by digitally signing their news content.
